近些年來,學界對纂修《古今圖書集成》之研究有了較大突破,但限於資料,對於康熙朝是否開設古今圖書集成館及纂修的具體情況衆説紛紜,語焉不詳。本文借助第一手檔案、文集、方志、家譜等資料,力圖對古今圖書集成館的相關情況,包括開館時間、開館地點等一直困惑學界的問題,一一予以考實,從而勾勒出古今圖書集成館的整體面貌。古今圖書集成館對於《古今圖書集成》的纂修乃至最後的成稿、刻印都起了至關重要的作用,值得學界加以重視和研究。
