Objective: To investigate the influence of maternal mood and psychology on childbirth outcomes during Doula childbirth. Methods: Ninety-two cases of primipara (experimental group) were observed by Doula-type labor and compared with 89 primiparous women who entered unaccompanied group during the same period (control group). The results showed that the time of first and second stage of labor in experimental group was longer than that of control group (P <0.05). The rate of cesarean section was 7.6% in the experimental group and 19.1% in the control group, which was significantly lower than that of the non-accompanying group P <0.05). Conclusion: Doula-style childbirth conforms to the psychological needs of mothers, shortening the birth process, reducing the rate of cesarean section, and improving the quality of childbirth, which is worth to be promoted.
