1934年10月,中央主力红军实行战略转移后,中央苏区的形势急剧恶化。11月,国民党陆军第十师、三十六师先后占领汀州、瑞金。福建省委、省政府、福建军区指示,将瑞金县桃阳区、兆征县古城区合并为桃古区,古城游击队与桃阳游击队合并组成桃古游击队,共有队员100来人,调我任区委书记兼游击队政委。当时,我们活动在汀瑞边陶朱、古城、四都一带。当国民党江西驻军“清剿”我们时,我们就往福建区域躲,当国民党福建驻军“清剿”我们时,我们就往江西范围藏,一有战机就和他们干。
