用复交系谱法选育成中籼稻中熟品种E164.该品种参加两年(1987~1988) 省区试,平均亩产481.5公斤,比对照密阳23平均亩增产10.7%;一年(1989) 省生产试验,平均亩产402.4公斤,比对照密阳23增产8.6%.株形优良,茎秆健壮,耐肥抗倒,分蘖力较强,穗大粒多,米质优,1985年参加省优质米评比,居参评20个籼稻优质米之首,1987年参加中国水稻研究所63个区试籼稻品种米质测定,名列第三.三年(1987~1989) 人工接病虫鉴定,中抗白叶枯病,抗至中抗稻瘟病和白背飞虱,高抗至抗褐稻虱;田间检查,纹枯病轻.表现为优质、高产、多抗品种类型.目前省内外正在加速开发利用,
The medium-indica medium-maturing cultivar E164 was bred by double crossbred genealogy method.
