真光小学始创于1872年(清同治十一年),至今已有143年历史。作为一所百年老校,学校坚持“崇真求实育英才”的办学理念,致力于办“真·实”教育,让师生在真实的角色中演绎光彩人生。学校先后荣获“全国优秀红领巾小社团”、“全国少先队特色中队、特色小队”、“广东省绿色学校”、“广东省体育特色学校”、“广东省防震减灾科普教育基地”、“广州市青少年科技教育先进集体”、“广州市红领巾示范学校”、“广州市特殊儿童随班就读工作先进单位”等过百项荣誉称号。
