Objective: To investigate the significance of determination of B-amniotic fluid index (AFI) in late pregnancy. Methods: From July 2015 to July 2016, 100 pregnant women with oligohydramnios were selected. The B-amniotic fluid index was used to analyze the effect on pregnancy outcome. Results: The 100 maternal women were diagnosed by B- super-amniotic fluid index, 43 cases with AFI5cm-8cm (43.00%) and 57 cases with AFI <5cm (57.00%). The rates of vaginal delivery and cesarean section in AFI5cm-8cm group were 83.72% and 16.27%, respectively. The AFI5cm-8cm group was 45.61% and 54.39% respectively. The cesarean section rate in AFI5cm-8cm group was lower than that in AFI5cm group (P <0.05) ). The incidence of neonatal complications was 23.26% in AFI5cm-8cm group, 43.86% in AFI5cm group, and less in AFI5cm-8cm group than in AFI5cm group (P <0.05). Conclusion: The importance of B-amniotic fluid index determination, the smaller the amniotic fluid index, the worse the pregnancy outcome.
