From 1983 to 1993, the “integrated missile development plan” implemented by the Indian government cost more than 900 million U.S. dollars, organized more than 1,000 famous scientists and over 30 research institutes and arsenals to develop 6 types of missiles . Among the six types of missiles, “Earth” and “Agni” ballistic missiles have been mass-produced and have become an important part of India's nuclear deterrent force; “Akash” and “ Although the development of the two kinds of surface-to-air missiles has experienced ups and downs but the future is uncertain, although Astra's air-to-air missiles have been tested and fired many times, the prospects for the LCA fighters are not optimistic. ”Viper" antitank missiles have quietly and steadily developed and become the dazzling star of the Indian Army's future weapons and equipment plan.
