Objective To understand the situation of overweight and obesity among 18 to 59-year-old migrant workers in Guangdong Province and its influential factors, and to identify the key steps that interventions can take. Methods Using the survey data of chronic disease and its risk factors in 2012 to monitor the floating population in China, the questionnaires were used to collect the basic personal information of 18 to 59-year-old floating population, smoking status, drinking status, diet status, physical activity status and health status And other related information, and physical examination, using single and multivariate analysis of the influencing factors of overweight or obesity. Results A total of 1 639 people were surveyed, including 889 males (54.2%) and 750 females (45.8%). The educational level was mainly in junior high schools and below, accounting for 62.5% (1025/1 639) The largest proportion, accounting for 33.0%, married / living together accounted for 78.4%. Overweight and obesity rates in the surveyed subjects were 25.4% and 5.9%, respectively, with standardized rates of 23.1% and 5.3%, respectively. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that men (OR = 1.772), marital status of married / cohabitants (OR = 1.505) were more likely to be overweight and obese. Compared with the 18-29 age group, the remaining 3 The likelihood of overweight and obesity in each age group is 1.565, 2.290 and 2.616 times that of the former, respectively. The odds of being overweight or obese in sitting or standing most of the time are 2.852 times of that of heavy manual workers , The probability of overweight or obesity in subjects whose static time was more than or equal to 5 hours per day was 1.361 times higher than that in patients <5 hours daily. Conclusions Male, married / cohabiting, prolonged sitting or standing, and lack of exercise are important risk factors for overweight and obesity among migrants aged 18-59 in Guangdong Province. To strengthen health education and improve the level of physical activity of the floating population is an important measure to prevent and control overweight and obesity.
