Objective To investigate the role of changes in renal microcirculation in the pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy (IgAN). Methods PASM-Masson staining of 55 cases of I-gAN kidney was used to measure the average plasma capillaries absorbance, erythrocyte area density and capillary bed area density of glomeruli and tubules with image analyzer respectively. Results At each stage of IgAN, the plasma absorbance and erythrocyte area density of glomeruli and tubules were significantly increased, and the capillary bed area density was significantly decreased. Conclusions Nephron capillaries plasma protein and red blood cell deposition, capillary bed reduction and other lesions exist in the I gAN whole process is an important factor in the continued progress of IgAN
