2005年3月12日,安阳市委书记靳绥东在北京大学作“感悟殷商文化,领略时代精神”的演讲——北京大学是我国最高学府中的世界名校.今天,有幸作为北大的客人,登上这座神圣的讲坛,我感到十分高兴。因为我并非仅仅代表自己,我的身后, 还有着531万勤劳勇敢的安阳人民。认识中华文明,要从安阳开始说到北大精神,说到民族、历史和文化,我们脑海中都会浮现出一些精彩纷呈的历史片断。在此,我告诉大家,我为之努力奋斗的河南省安阳市,世界四大古文字惟一沿袭至今的活文字——甲骨文发源于此,中国最古老朴素的哲学——《周易》诞生于此。所以,我可以骄傲地说:认识中华文明,要从安阳开始。
On March 12, 2005, Anyisang Party Secretary Jin Suidong delivered a speech titled “Inspiring Shang Culture and Acting on the Spirit of the Times” at Peking University - Peking University is a world famous university among the highest institutions in our country. Today, I am fortunate to be a guest of Peking University. I am very happy about this sacred rostrum. Because I am not just representing myself, behind me, there are 5.31 million industrious and brave Anyang people. To understand Chinese civilization, we should start from Anyang to talk about the spirit of Peking University, speaking of nationalities, history and culture, our minds will emerge some brilliant historical fragments. Here, let me tell you everything that I have worked hard for. Anyang City, Henan Province, the only surviving text in the world’s four ancient Chinese writings - Oracle originated from this. The Book of Changes, the oldest and most simple Chinese philosophy, was born here. Therefore, I can proudly say: To understand Chinese civilization, we should start from Anyang.
