鲸的学名CETACEANS来源于拉丁文cetus(大型海洋动物)和希腊文ketos(海怪)。
Whale is an important member of the sea animals, the shape of fish, commonly known as whales. Body length of whales ranges from 1 meter to more than 30 meters (Figure 1). Whale’s scientific name CETACEANS comes from the Latin cetus (large marine animal) and the Greek ketos (sea monster). In ancient times, whales were thought to be a huge, horrifying spout of fish in the sea. In the archeology of China’s Yinxu, whale fossils have been excavated. Ancient Greece, ancient Roman mythology, there are many stories about dolphins (Figure 2,3,4). Whales are now visible on some flags, badges, coins, paintings, buildings, logos and advertisements (Figures 5,6,7,8).
