随着科学技术的发展和人们对生活环境质量要求的提高,室内设计中色彩与材料的运用是世界的主观反映。当不同的色彩和材料质感产生共鸣的时候,必然导致人产生某种带有情感的心理活动。色彩心理和肌理材料对空间的感受过程是同时交叉进行的,它们之间相互联系相互制约。同时也对材料的表现提出了更新、更高的要求。现代室内设计摒弃了传统的纯表面化的装饰,大量地采用新技术和新材料,注重材料与空间构造、材料与色彩、材料与光照之间的相互关系,强化材料在设计中的表现,成为现代设计文化涵义的呈现和解释。
