Wang Zuoliang’s translation view, that is, cultural awareness, “likeness”, readers first, has a profound impact on readers. Wang Zuoliang believes that translators should be conscious of both cultures and pursue the overall consistency of the translation and the original text, with readers first. This article begins with a tentative analysis of Wang Zuoliang’s view of translation, and then explains how he used his translation ideas to successfully translate “a red rose”. His translation perfectly combines the above three aspects and shows his superb translation skills.
