Brazil: The recovery of the U.S. real estate market benefits the Timber sector in Paraná, Brazil. In the first half of 2015 sawdust exports in the state reached $ 64.9 million, an increase of 16.7% over the same period of last year. The state’s plywood exports also increased by 19% to 185.3 million U.S. dollars. According to the Parana Confederation of Industry, MDF and plywood are mainly used in the construction and furniture industries in the Americas.
