邓小平曾经说过:“不喜欢川剧的人,就不懂得文明”。他还说:“四川人不看川戏就不叫四川人。”这既表现了他对川剧的自豪和热爱,也是对于川剧艺术的历史地位、存在价值和现实意义的精辟概括和充分肯定。
Deng Xiaoping once said: “People who do not like Sichuan Opera do not understand civilization.” He also said: “Sichuan people do not call Szechuan people because they do not watch Sichuan Opera.” This shows both his pride and love for Sichuan Opera and his insightful and full affirmation of the historical status, existence value and practical significance of Sichuan Opera.
