It is Japan’s big move to use natural gas used for cooking in the kitchen as motor fuel to reduce air pollution. Suginami-ku, Tokyo is an area where this method was implemented earlier. In the summer of 1998, due to the exhaust gas of the automobile, the area was filled with thick smoke, causing residents and primary and secondary school students to complain bitterly. In order to solve this problem, some people came up with the idea of using natural gas as motor fuel. Last year, the district acquired four service vehicles dedicated to residents to replenish natural gas. They went down the street and replenished gas into small natural gas storage tanks installed in residential garages to make up for the shortage of natural gas fuel stations.
