《美帝国主义对中近东的侵略》(黄蘭音编辑,世界知識出版社出版)是一本值得推荐的时事讀物。这本書主要是根据1955年苏联出版的萨美洛夫斯基所著《美帝国主义在中近东的扩張》一書,加以編譯补充而成的。全書由五章改编为四章,在有的章节里,编译者补充了新的論点和材料。例如:巴格达条約签訂的经过及其反动本質;近年来西德壟断资本卷入爭夺中近东市場的斗爭情况;美、英、法、荷的石油壟断资本势力在中近东的消长;美帝国主义者在1956年英法侵埃战爭中的兩面态度;臭名昭彰的“艾森豪威尔主义”及其反动本質;以及编譯者自己編写的“美国对中近东国家的颠复陰謀和武裝干涉”一节(見原書73頁—79頁)。这样,就使这本書从内容上更加充实,在結構上更加紧凑和連貫,并且密切地結合了当前中近东局势的發展,更
“The Aggression of the U.S. imperialists in the Near and Middle East” (edited by Huang Lanyin and published by World Knowledge Publishing House) is a highly recommended current affairs reading. This book is mainly compiled and supplemented by the book “The expansion of US imperialism in the Near and Middle East” written by Smellowski published by the Soviet Union in 1955. The book consists of five chapters adapted into four chapters, in some chapters, the compiler added new arguments and materials.
