孙中山先生是我国民主革命的伟大先行者,他一生都喜欢读书。在英国留学的时候,他的生活非常艰苦,经常饿着肚子去上课。有一次他生病没去上课,同班的几个中国留学生一起去看望他。临走前,他们还特意凑了40英镑,交代孙中山给自己买点吃的补一补。过了几天,他们再次来看望孙中山,敲了半天门,都没见有人应答。“也许他出门去了吧,要不,我们下次再来?”一个姑娘说。“不会是病晕在里面了吧?我来敲敲。”另一个男生说。
