“Dead in the corner,” the high wave crossing the city around the Grand Canal ferry in the southern suburbs there, it is locally known as high wave ferry. Because of archeological mischief, as soon as I get there, everyone will ask about the origin of this ferry. From this, Hetu can get one or two unofficial folk tales so that he can easily write novels. Regrettably, when asked about the elderly people in their 70s and 70s, they also asked why they did not understand the place where their ancestors lived. Compared to the wide sea in the Yangtze River, the canal can have much storm that everyone understands. But I firmly believe that behind a towering names, there must be a mysterious and touching story. Unfortunately, I come and gone hurriedly, unknown. The extremely developed modern traffic has caused the rapid decline of inland shipping. Therefore, only a handful of vessels can be seen along the river. However, the asphalt road leading to Ko Long Ferry Village is car-bound and the traffic is heavy. In the eyes of the local elderly, Gao Langdu is still our “dead corner” in Wuxi. In fact, drove from Yaohan and south, about twenty minutes can be there. Just to see some of the old houses in the woods, and step by step under the stone river port, I found out here far from the urban area.
