在钢筋混凝土结构试验中,常常要求查找构件表面的微细裂缝,以便确定构件的开裂荷载和各荷载阶段的裂缝开展状况。此外,在钢筋混凝土构件的产品质量检验或工程事故调查中有时也要查找裂缝开展情况,如裂缝的部位、走向或延伸长度等,以便对结构的质量作出确切判断。过去人们通常用肉眼或放大镜来观察混凝土表面是否开裂,但由于某些构件开裂的部位不能准确预期或需要观察的表面范围较大,因而查找裂缝的工作甚为费时费力,其效果也因各人的视力好坏而有较大差异。在国内外的某些研究工作中,为了查找混凝土的初裂裂缝,曾采用过所谓湿斑法,光敏薄层法,涂抹铅粉通电等等方法,但都很费时而不便于应用。本文介绍一种简便的快速查找裂缝的方法,能迅速而有效地找出裂缝
