自1982年1月莆田恢复党史工作机构以来,莆田党史部门在市(地)委的直接领导和上级党史部门的业务指导下,紧紧围绕以史鉴今、资政育人这一根本任务,认真做好存史、资政、育人工作,取得了较好成绩,在党的建设和社会主义精神文明建设中发挥出了应有的作用。
