Low-intensity selective cutting not only realizes the use of wood but also rejuvenates the forest, promoting the succession of forest regeneration. This paper introduces the technical requirements for low-intensity selective cutting of different types of forests and the selection methods of harvested timber. The application effects of low-intensity selective cutting techniques are analyzed from the aspects of protecting the forest environment, promoting the growth of trees and improving the economic benefits.
