Preface Nitrite nitrogen in water is an intermediate product of organic pollutants oxidative decomposition. It is often used as a monitoring indicator of water pollution by organic pollutants. However, nitrite ions and amine can form nitrosamines, which is a strong carcinogen. Commonly used method for determination of nitrite in water is p-aminobenzenesulfonic acid-tacrine hydrochloride colorimetric method. Military drinking water testing equipment and more use of this method of solid reagents. However, the determination of the more complicated steps, reagent deliquescence, not entirely suitable for field requirements.
