加快民营经济发展对繁荣城乡经济、增强地方财力、扩大劳动就业具有举足轻重的作用。近年来,山东省蓬莱市积极发展民营经济,完善扶持政策,健全服务体系,强化关键举措,地方民营经济正呈现出良好的发展态势,在经济总量、上缴税收和劳动就业等方面发挥着“半壁江山”的作用。旅游、造船海工、汽车及零部件、葡萄与葡萄酒等民营经济,已擢升为该市四大主导产业且加快转型升级。截至2014年底,该市完成民营经济主营业务收入1713.32亿元,上缴税金37.05亿元,同比分别增长11.19%和10.15%。
