Objective To observe the relationship between lymphatic microvessel density (LMVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor (Vascalar endothelial growth factor, VEGF) and lymph node metastasis in cervical cancer. Methods Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of LMVD and VEGF in 59 cases of invasive cervical cancer and their correlation with clinical pathological features and lymph node metastasis. Results The average value of LMVD and the positive expression rate of VEGF in cervical cancer tissues were 7.61 ± 2.5 in lymph node metastasis group respectively. 83.3%, higher than the group without lymph node metastasis 5.83 ± 1.88.46.3. In the group of VEGF positive expression, the expression of LMVD was significantly higher (P <0.01). Conclusion The positive expression of LMVD and VEGF may be the related factors that affect the lymph node metastasis of cervical cancer and can be used as a useful indicator of predicting lymph node metastasis.
