盛鋼桶俗称包子。包子的寿命一般不高,当工作层的一部分被侵蝕到保护层时就要拆去整个工作层重砌新磚。一般包子侵蝕是很不均勻的,和熔渣經常接触的部位最容易被侵蝕。在图1中1、2、3处最容易被侵蝕,在“2”处被侵蝕最厉害(不过此处是局部的,不是整圈的)。我們針对这种情况,在被侵蝕最厉害的“2”处,进行局部加厚法(如图2)。本来工作层是用的厚2 1/4吋的磚,现在在“2”处采用3 1/4吋的磚12块,按图3的形式
