My fellow citizens, dear Heads of State, heads of government and representatives of international organizations such as the United Nations, all distinguished guests, all of whom are commanders, ladies and gentlemen, comrades and friends: Today is a place worth the world Forever Commemorative day. Today, 70 years ago, after 14 years of arduous struggle, the Chinese people won the great victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and declared the complete victory of the world anti-fascist war. The sunshine of peace re-radiated the earth again. Here, on behalf of the CPC Central Committee, the NPC, the State Council, the CPPCC National Committee and the Central Military Commission, I represent the veterans, veterans, patriots and anti-Japanese generals who participated in the Anti-Japanese War throughout the country.
