From September 30 to October 2, 1994, the New England Booksellers Association (NEBA) held its 21st annual conference and trade fair at the Boston World Trade Center, when I was in Boston. I received two free admission tickets from J.Lawton, owner of Brookline Village Bookshop. I was able to visit the fair and get a general idea of some of their annual meetings. New England includes the six states of Massachusetts, Maine and Rhode Island in the northeastern United States, with a population of about 12 million and a total of 344 publishing houses (more than three titles in a year), with over a thousand bookstores . New England Bookseller Association members are mainly booksellers in the region, foreign booksellers willingness to join is not limited. Annual meetings and fairs held at the same time each year, exhibitors press large
