Yungang Grottoes are located at the southern foot of Mt. Wuzhou, 16 kilometers west to Datong, Shanxi province. Stretching for one kilometer, these grottoes have spectacular carved Buddhist statues. Yungang Grotto Temple is known as one of the four major grotto temples of China, along with Dunhuang, Longmen and Maijishan grotto temples.
