《数学课程标准》中强调:数学教学要关注每一位学生的发展。但是,由于中学生在生理和心理上发展有差异,所以在实际教学中,越来越多的学生对数学学习产生了畏惧心理,因而在初中数学教学中,数学成绩出现两极分化的现象很严重,这种现象,直接影响着数学质量的大面积提高。那么如何解决这个问题?除了要在课堂教学中转变传统的教育教学观念,改变教学方法,寻求和探索出面向全体学生和全面提高教学质量的教学模式外,还要注重培优补差工作。
