Marcuse believes that art is revolutionary, that art works have a negative effect on the rules of reality and liberate the people from the principles of reality. This is especially true of Chinese art under ideology, which acts as a power discourse in our eyes and instigates our soul. Chinese artists turned their sensitiveness and passion into a deep concern for the society. They used the brush to promote the Chinese sword and halberd, explored the future of China, propagandized the Chinese revolution, and rethought Chinese society. In modern China, however, the demands of the revolution are constantly changing with the ups and downs of China’s fate. Each historic period has a different desire for revolution. However, with consistent revolutionary feelings, artists use pictures to express their thoughts and visions on the Chinese revolution, This article elaborates on this.
