The “Qinling Geological Scientific Research Symposium” hosted by the State Administration of Gold was held in Xi’an from November 10 to November 15, 1990. The purpose of the conference was to exchange experiences in geological research of gold deposits in the Qinling Mountains, During the period, the key issues, main directions and new round of scientific research on gold mineralization in Qinling area came from eight systems including metallurgy, mining, nonferrous metals, nuclear industry, armed police gold, Chinese Academy of Sciences, universities, gold industry, Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province and Sichuan Province, 72 units engaged in gold prospecting, scientific research and production management and 127 delegates attended the meeting.
