台湾省目前种植金针菜面积已超过1000公顷,主要分布在台东县太麻里、长滨、知 本,花莲县玉里、富里一带,是台湾东部山坡地主要的特产品之一。以往台湾栽培的金针花品种(H.fulvahh.)在低海拔常发生不抽苔现象,严重影响产量。其次,开花期在8月上旬至9月下旬,适逢台湾台风旺季,往往由于台风豪雨造成花茎折断,花蕾脱落,以及采收加工后产品无日晒干等问题。
Taiwan currently has more than 1,000 hectares of acanthopanax. It is mainly distributed in Taimali, Changbin, Chihpen and Hualien counties in Taitung County.
