Ovarian cancer accounts for the fourth leading cause of cancer in women and ovarian cancer in about 1 in 70 women. Known risk factors for ovarian cancer include the elderly, family history, infertility, early menarche, late menopause, white race, high economic status, residents of North Europe and North America. At present, ovarian cancer is still no effective screening methods and measures. In order to understand the development trend of ovarian cancer in the population, the mortality rate of ovarian cancer in the United States from 1979 to 1995 was studied. Data on the death of ovarian cancer from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) over the 16 years were collected and age-standardized for women in 1990. The mortality rates were calculated for all age groups: 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64 years old, 65-74 years old, 75-84 years old, ≥85 years old, and analyzed the influencing factors of age, race and geographical location.
