It was soon after I took a new class and one evening I went to the classroom to check student assignments. When he walked next to a boy, he neither took the assignment to check it out nor stood up to explain the situation. I asked: “Your job?” “Not done.” He replied very bluntly. I feel a bit offensive and still amiably asked, “How did you not do it?” “No!”
