招远开发区于1992年经山东省政府批准设立为省级开发区,2010年跃居山东省省级开发区综合考评第一位,2011年9月25日成功晋升为国家级经济技术开发区(是全省第二家坐落在县级市的国家级开发区),定名为招远经济技术开发区;2012年1月9日举行了国家级开发区挂牌仪式,2012年4月按照“扩区提速、二次创业”的发展思路,园区控制面积由原来的40,28平方公里扩大到现在的109.48平方公里。现辖2个街道办事处、73个行政村和6个居委会。先后荣获“环渤海省级开发区投资环境、科技创新、循环经济竞
Zhaoyuan Development Zone was approved as a provincial-level development zone by the Shandong provincial government in 1992 and ranked first in the comprehensive evaluation of provincial-level development zones in Shandong Province in 2010. It was successfully promoted to a national-level economic and technological development zone on September 25, 2011 (Which is the second state-level development zone located in the county-level city in the province) and named as Zhaoyuan Economic and Technological Development Zone. On January 9, 2012, a state-level development zone listing ceremony was held. In April 2012, Expansion zone speed, second pioneering ”development ideas, park control area from the original 40,28 square kilometers expanded to the present 109.48 square kilometers.
