所有的广告和营销,目的就是要让我们知道我们还缺少什么现代科技让我们的生活更加丰富,但同时也让我们搭上了一辆开往郁闷的快车。我们怎样才能知道一个东西的好坏、大小、美丑、贵贱呢?做一做比较和评测呀,我们将之与另一样物品进行对比测量。现在做比较要比以前容易多了,杂志、报纸、电视、互联网,都是可以利用的工具。在此之前,我们只能跟邻居、跟同事比。现在,我们可以和全世界比。坦桑尼亚前总统朱利叶斯·尼雷尔(JuliusNyerere)就曾说过,“在有电视机之前,坦桑尼亚没有穷人。”
The purpose of all advertising and marketing is to let us know what we still lack of modern technology to make our lives richer, but also let us catch a depressed express train. How can we know the quality, size, beauty and ugliness of a thing? How do we compare and evaluate a thing? We compare it with another thing. Making comparisons now is easier than before, with magazines, newspapers, television, and the Internet all available tools. Before that, we could only talk to our neighbors and colleagues.
