太平天国革命是中国农民革命的最高峰 ,给清王朝的封建统治以沉重打击。为了镇压起义 ,稳固统治 ,清朝中央政府不得不调整自身权力机构和满汉关系 ,下放财政权、军事权和人事权于地方督抚 ,因而直接导致了以曾国藩为首的地方势力集团的崛起。太平天国农民起义虽然被镇压下去了 ,但却造成了清政权内轻外重的局面 ,终成尾大不掉之势 ,成为清朝灭亡的一个重要原因
The Taiping Heavenly Revolution is the highest peak of the peasant revolution in China, which dealt a heavy blow to the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty. In order to suppress the uprising and firmly rule the Central Government of the Qing Dynasty had to adjust its own power agencies and Manchurian relations and decentralize fiscal, military and personnel powers to local governors, thus directly leading to the rise of local power groups led by Zeng Guofan. Although the peasant uprising in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom was suppressed, it led to a situation of light weight and heavy external power in the Qing government, which eventually became an important cause of the demise of the Qing Dynasty
