A single-chip subband filter designed to accomplish the front-end function of a dual tone wideband receiver (DTMF) will now be described. A chip includes two 6-band band-pass filter, Schmitt-input comparator and all the relevant clock circuit. Switched capacitors made using CMOS double-layer polysilicon oxide have been implemented as filters. This process includes two advantages of high-speed, high-density CMOS and linear analog components. This makes it possible to optimize the integration of mixed analog / digital circuits.
