As a result of aspiration, airway foreign bodies can seriously threaten the life and health of children, and their morbidity and mortality mostly occur in children between 6 months and 4 years of age. The authors report 234 cases of concurrent removal of tracheobronchial foreign body disease at Johns Hopkins Hospital in more than 50 years of age under 16 years old.
