北京第二十中学曾是一所出了名的大、破、乱学校。 1979年，马成营来到这里任校长。他带领全校干部、教师，坚持党的教育方针，从学校的实际出发，以德育为突破口，争一流，促发展，经过 20多年的不懈努力，终于把二十中建设成一所全面发展，办有特色，远近闻名的先进校。 马校长用简洁的语言概括了他的办学思想：“德育为首，全面发展，追求一流，办有特色”。这十六个字朴实无华，但的确是一部沉甸甸的学校发展史，浓缩着二十中不同时期的理性思考和实践探索，其内涵远远超过它字面上的意义。 校长办学思想的形成是一个较为漫长的实践积累与理性思考的过程，是一个千锤百炼的过程。建立一个比较系统的办学思想体系，需要终生的实践、创新、思考和学科的归纳。我们希望通过介绍校长教育思想，涌现出更多的名校和名校长，以带动教育整体水平的提高。

We hope that by introducing the principal’s educational ideas, more prestigious schools and prestigious principals will emerge to promote the overall level of education.
