The main active ingredient in the genus Rock chinensis is alkaloid compound represented by dehydrocavitine [1], which has potential anti-HBV activity and hepatoprotective activity [2]. It has been reported in literature [3] that high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to determine the content of dehydrocavagedin in Rhizoma Coptidis. However, no reference to simultaneous determination of three alkaloids by high performance liquid chromatography has been reported.
