J. Watson’s group work on underwater holography at the University of Aberdeen, UK, has led to the development of a positioning device with six degrees of freedom. This work includes the recording of underwater object holograms and the subsequent reappearance of real-time images in waterborne air. When reproducing the hologram, it is important to keep the holographic plate completely stationary and to precisely position it. The group hopes to adjust the position of the dry plate in the direction of three-dimensional Cartesian coordinates and rotate about the three axes. There is therefore a need for a six degree of freedom holographic plate retainer. They talked to Glad to make the holographic plate fixer. The device must have a low profile to allow the laser beam to enter and exit at a wide angle. If necessary, this design enables reproducible holographic images at a distance of 5 to 6 cm from the dry plate
