“蜜枚无籽1号”和“蜜枚四倍体”两个西瓜新品种,出中国农科院郑州果树所培育成功,于1990年7月通过专家鉴定。蜜枚无籽一号西瓜于1983年用蜜枚四倍体×80-2培育选定并命名,6年的品种比较试验表明,具有高产、优质、耐贮运、抗性强、较易栽培等优良性状。平均单瓜重7.1kg,平均亩产5258.73kg。肉红、质脆、可溶性固形物含量为11.2％,果皮坚韧,在室内常温存放20～30天不变质,果皮厚1.4cm,果实短椭圆形,
