围绕“学校有特色,教师有专长,学生有特长”的目标,武汉市光谷第三小学大力拓宽“和乐”育人途径,开展系列活动,发展学生个性。一是全校性的“大乐园”活动,给不同年龄、不同年级的学生创造可以自由选择、尽情玩耍、愉快体验的活动,初步培养学生对各种事物的兴趣;二是成立各类兴趣小组,学生根据自己的兴趣爱好自愿选择和参加,在兴趣活动中发展特长;三是开展社会调查、社会实践、小发明小创造等重新素质实践行活动,让学生在社会实践中锻炼
