四平市第一人民医院建院初期,院内栽植些树木,因管理不善,活下来的树木病虫害严重,院内野草丛生,建筑垃圾成堆,每到冬春季节,风卷灰尘四起,存在着感染疾病的危险因素,影响患者的健康。 为了改变原有环境,1985年,医院清除建筑垃圾回运绿化用土,在庭院四周和路旁栽植垂柳,目前,该批垂柳胸径已达20—27厘米,起到了防风、固尘,减少噪音等作用。
