《美好的日子》是贝克特的代表作品,表现了人在生存困境中的乐观精神和面对死亡的无奈。由美国耶鲁剧院制作、詹姆斯·邦迪导演、戴安·韦斯特主演的《美好的日子》,导演意图明确,贴近原作,演员表演在身体受到很大局限的条件下,以极强的表演张力和控制力还原了生活本身,表现了在生存的困境中,人类以幽默和乐观来面对生活的美好,同时面对死亡的临近只能感到无奈和悲哀。
