1987年入夏的首都北海公园,景色秀丽;五龙亭畔的经济植物园内,花木繁茂。这里,“中国首届根艺展览”正在举行。来自全国20多个省市的2000余件根艺品,吸引着成千上万的中外游客。人们凝视着、指点着、赞叹着……然而,在这奇花异葩中,最引人注目,赢得赞誉的,当数福建厅的大型根艺品获一等奖的《天姿国色》、《威震群山》和二等奖韵《仲夏荷花》。
