师范系的学生毕业后要到中学或中师去从事美术教育工作,培养千千万万青少年的审美能力,开发智力,启迪思想,净化灵魂,进而提高全民族的素质。依据这个总目标,师范系的教学宗旨就是既要对学生基础知识和基本技能进行严格要求和训练,又要培养他们具有想象思维和创造思维,造就他们的艺术想象力和创造力。师范系的工艺教学正是以审美教育为主线,经历了八年的历程,迈出了可喜的一步。
