科技期刊对量值单位的正确使用,基本是遵循国家标准或统一原则来编发。鉴于地学论著中有关时间“年”的表达存在距今年龄和时间问隔年龄两个不同的概念,在目前国际和国家标准尚未界定的情况下,若简单采用统一“a”(年)的概念用法,容易产生混淆。为此,在调研和分析了这一对概念及其相关量单位的国内外专业用法后,建议在编辑地学论著时,应遵照地学界长期以来的使用习惯,以a(拉丁文annus的简写)代表年代值单位,并含有距今之意;而用yr(英文year的简写)代表年的时间间隔值单位。
The proper use of sci-tech periodicals for units of value is based on complying with the national standards or the principle of unification.
